This project exhibits an existing social landscape in the East End of Glasgow and portrays the dynamic relationships that exist between the different communities that contribute to shaping our city and add to the economic development to this part of Glasgow. Whilst this part of the city is going about its daily life, in the background is a huge development for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 which is forecasted to transform this part of the city into a hub of economic growth and therefore will have an effect on the local people and businesses. This documentary project focuses on the local businesses and their owners and workers that are still trading at this time pre-commonwealth games and portrays the community spirit which is still very much thriving in the East End and hopefully will encourage new reportage and awareness of the diversity which moulds our communities together.
