The next free family weekends are listed below
Saturday 21 August
Architectural Drawing, Collage & Photography (12-18yrs)
Project Ability, 10am - 12 noon & 12:30 - 2pm
In this workshop you will visit the Robert Reddick Solo exhibition at the Project Ability Gallery and create your own architectural drawings inspired by this. You will have the opportunity to photograph some of the unique buildings around Trongate 103 and combine these with drawing and collage to create your own masterpiece!
Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 August
Metal Magic (8 +)
Sharmanka Kientic Theatre, 1-4pm
These workshops offer families a unique opportunity to work with accomplished silversmith Bryony Knox. Bryony will introduce participants to working with re-cycled tin and wire to make a character inspired by the Sharmanka sculptures. Examples of Bryony's work can be seen at www.bryonyknox.com
Suitable for children 8+ and their parents. The session starts at 1pm with a 30 minute performance of the kinetic sculptures - this is free for children but charges apply for adults. The creative workshop will follow and last until 4pm - no charges apply. Adults are not required to attend the performance to take part in the workshop but it is highly recommended to maximise on the creative experience.
