From 30th July to 11th August, GMAC will be running a summer school for young people aged 14-19 in Glasgow. 

We would like to recruit new and talented filmmakers to support these young people, sharing their skills and knowledge in return for widening their experience of youth work and filmmaking. Applicants should be 19-24 and live in the Glasgow area.

Over the two week period, the young people will receive training and then prep, shoot, edit and screen a short film under the guidance of professional filmmakers. The role of the intern is to support the young people and help to guide them through the production.

We would like to recruit interns for the following roles:

 

  • SUMMER SCHOOL COORDINATOR
  • ACTOR
  • DIRECTOR
  • CAMERA, SOUND, LIGHTING
  • ART DEPARTMENT, COSTUME, PROPS
  • POST PRODUCTION/ EDITOR

The summer school will involve a 2 week internship, with a fixed training allowance of £100, in addition to travel and lunch.
